Joanna Chaba – proprietary music project
The first album ‘Awakened’ consists of twelve tracks in both Polish and English, and its
preview is the first single ‘I wanna love forever’. The material was created in 2019, a year
when I was struggling with back pain. To be able to sit at the piano and compose, I had to
take double doses of painkillers. Pain, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, can be a
beautiful path to awakening. The musical arrangements were created by Grzegorz Duszak,
who is also a co-author of the music. The music producer and mentor is Roy Hamilton III.
The instrumental parts were recorded in February 2022, and the vocal parts in June-August
2023.

Joanna Chaba – lyrics, music
A vocalist and songwriter. The owner and founder of WokArt Studio. A graduate of the
Krzysztof Komeda School of Popular Music and Jazz in Warsaw, Faculty of Stage Song, the
Frédéric Chopin First Degree State Music School in Sochaczew and the University of
Warsaw, at the Institute of Polish Culture. The winner of the 1st Prize at the Mazovian
Cabaret Song Contest SDK in Warsaw, Special Prize from Jeremi Przybora’s family at the
11th “Stacja Kutno”, and the 1st Prize in the “Song is Good for Everything” Contest.
Soul plays in my heart, and my great inspirations are Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston,
Queen, and Michael Jackson.

Grzegorz Duszak – music, arrangements
Jazz and pop vocalist by education. Songwriter, arranger, producer and guitarist. Author and
co-author of projects such as GCh+, Leśmian Spectacle, Greg Strangler, Grześ Wyżykowski
and Undecymet. Winner of festivals: Niemen Non Stop, Okularnicy (The Nerds), FAMA, and
the Film Song and Ballad Festival in Toruń.

Roy Hamilton III – music producer

Roy is a Multi-Platinum Grammy nominated Pop/R&B music producer, songwriter and A&R executive, also the grandson of the legendary singer Roy Hamilton. Collectively, these skills and abilities have helped to sell over 70 million albums worldwide for Record labels & artists like: Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Austin French, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Capitol Records, RCA Records, Universal Music Group and many more. In the last two decades, Roy has discovered and helped shape the musical careers of several chart topping singers, songwriters and producers.
